It’s autumn appreciation time! Every year in spring, Albert and I head to the Iron Age hill fort Blackbury Camp near Honiton for a bluebell photoshoot [ 2015 | 2016 | 2017 ]. Last year, it suddenly dawned on me that the place probably looks equally beautiful in autumn – and thus another annual tradition was born.

Blackbury Camp never disappoints. I like to go there early in the morning on a weekday, to make sure I have the place all to myself. That way, I don’t have to feel self-conscious while trying to capture the perfect seasonal selfie with Albert. Or when I’m leaf peeping to my heart’s content while spinning around on a rope swing. Because autumn appreciation is maximised when experienced by rope swing. You knew that, right?

I hope you are enjoying autumn/fall as much as we are!
